The Director of Teaching and Learning position is a senior position within the Secondary School located in Burwood.  This is a full-time position with a teaching component to commence in Term 1, 2020.

The successful candidate should have:

  • a proven record of success as a secondary educator with an extensive knowledge in educational theory and practice and to have considerable experience working in a school environment.
  • the ability to work as a member of a team to achieve strategic outcomes in the area of teaching and learning.
  • to demonstrate educational leadership and leadership in developing a culture of learning excellence.
  • to demonstrate a commitment to the Jewish character, practice and ethos of the College.
  • a high level of interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents and colleagues and to represent the College in the community and build and develop these relationships.
  • a high level of organisational ability and initiative as well as the ability to supervise, motivate and mentor staff.
  • knowledge of the Middle Years Program (MYP) of the International Baccalaureate.
  • experience in Education administration.
